FERRIS POOL  ENTRY INTO BUILDING

In an attempt to have great security and control in the Ferris Building, the YMCA has installed a lock and key pad entry system on the 2nd entry door in Ferris. This will start to be used when the front desk is not staffed –

Any week day morning practices for Elite Group, from 3 – 5 PM Monday – Thursday, and after 3 PM – 9 PM on Fridays. The code is for swim team only, therefore do not give it out to others! The code to start is 6373, the pad is to the right of the 2nd door in Ferris, a red light on the pad changed to green when the proper code is entered on to the pad. The door then clicks and will open.

COACHING FEES PAST DUE    If you have not paid your January payment you are now past due, please pay at the YMCA as soon as possible. Thank You.

Strong Kids Campaign

This is the time of the year the YMCA embarks on their annual asking for donations to the YMCA’s scholarship program. This year it is called “Strong Kids Campaign”.

The YMCA helps needy kids and families enjoy the Y and its programs. We, the swim team, have a few families that take advantages of these scholarships and funds.

Each year, I ask each swim team family to help with this campaign and make a pledge. We hope to have all of our families pledge but usually we get about 60 – 70% or so to pledge. We hope everyone can help, a little or a lot.

Last week was the Kick Off Week and hope you’ll consider making your pledge this week.

You can stop at the Y and get a form. Or just email me back, with your pledge and I can make out a pledge card for you.

I will also put this form on our website if you would like to download them from there.

HOTEL ROOMS

We have a few hotel rooms for Championships. Please contact Coach Bill via email immediately. After our block of rooms is full, he’ll send in a rooming list then you will have to call the hotel and give them your credit card. DO not call either hotel directly till after Coach Bill sends in the rooming lists.

Your fund raising account for the Swim Team.

PICK UP AFTER PRACTICE  Parents, please make sure you are picking your swimmers up in a timely manor after their practices. Especially, those groups at Ferris Pool, the coaches and or the front desk staff can not leave till the last swimmer is picked up.

As we get to the end of the season, many of the swimmers will be getting out of practice a bit earlier as they swim a little less just before Championships. Please have your swimmers check with their coaches as to when they will be getting out early from practice.
